We are thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter for our practice. After years of dedicated service and leadership, Dr. Barbara Ries has passed the torch to Dr. Landon Peterson as the new owner of what will now be known as Peterson Orthodontics.
This transition marks the continuation of a shared vision between Dr. Ries and Dr. Peterson, who have worked side by side, bringing a combined 34 years of experience to our community. While the name may be changing, the commitment to exceptional orthodontic care remains stronger than ever.
The Legacy of Dr. Barbara Ries
For over 20 years, Dr. Ries has been a cornerstone of this practice, delivering top-quality treatments and earning a stellar reputation in the field of orthodontics. Her gentle approach, dedication to each patient, and passion for creating beautiful smiles have set a high standard. She has been at the forefront of advancements in orthodontic care, especially as one of Nebraska’s first Top 1% Invisalign Providers.
Although Dr. Ries is stepping back from ownership, her legacy of care and excellence will continue in every treatment we provide. We remain grateful for the incredible foundation she has built, and we are proud to carry her work forward.
Meet Dr. Landon Peterson
Dr. Peterson comes to us with several years of experience in orthodontics, and we're excited to officially welcome him as the new owner. A Nebraska native and board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Peterson brings a fresh, young, and professional mindset to the practice. His focus on the latest technology, along with his artistic eye, allows him to deliver truly transformative smile aesthetics.
In addition to his work in private practice, Dr. Peterson currently serves as part-time faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry, where he oversees orthodontic residents in the clinic, helping shape the next generation of orthodontists.
In addition to orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign and braces, Dr. Peterson is excited to introduce new services in the future. These future services will include laser treatments and Botox/lip fillers to enhance your smile even further.
